Data Quality and Compliance Officer
Creditinfo CRB Kenya Ltd is a leading Credit Reference Bureau dedicated to providing accurate and reliable credit information services. We are looking for a versatile individual to join our team as a Data Quality and Compliance Officer. In this role, you will be dedicated to maintaining superior data quality across organizational systems and processes. This role plays a crucial part in sustaining high data quality standards and ensuring compliance while fostering client satisfaction through effective data management practices
Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing strategies to ensure superior data quality across systems through regular audits, cross functional collaboration and continuous monitoring
• Ensuring compliance with data protection laws and privacy guidelines. Translating compliance requirements into operational policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Performing risk assessments to proactively identify vulnerabilities, implementing measures to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Conducting data quality checks using specialized tools to identify inconsistencies.
• Generating regular reports on data quality metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives. Maintaining detailed documentation of data quality processes, compliance activities, and audit trails.
• Facilitating the timely delivery of key data, reports, and notifications to stakeholders (internal and external) ensuring seamless communication and service delivery
• Proactively engaging with clients to resolve data quality challenges and ensure high customer satisfaction. Managing concerns and disputes raised by Consumer Care, collaborating with CIPs for effective resolution.
• Supporting implementation of industry or regulator driven projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project timelines
• Conducting comprehensive staff and CIPs training on data quality protocols, compliance matters and best practices.
• Conducting client visits to address data quality concerns and managing data processing activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Managing compliance and accurate data submission from obligated institutions, while overseeing user account management to ensure data security and access control
Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Data Analytics and Data Quality Tools Training, CISA, PMP) is a plus.
• Proven experience (3 years) in data management, or a related role, preferably in the financial services or credit industry.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot inconsistencies and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong capacity to evaluate data, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify problems, think critically, and propose effective solutions.
• Good Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Ethical Integrity: Demonstrates a strong sense of ethics, responsibility, and trustworthiness in all work.
